Guided walking tour of the Medieval Quarter of Cuenca
- 2hrs in Cuenca: We start from the highest tourist information point in the city, on Larga Street, located in the Barrio del Castillo. Last stop of the urban bus lines number 1 and 2. The visit ends at the San Pablo Bridge.
- Río Júcar and Huécar: Cuenca is a city built on a tongue of land between the sickles of the Júcar and Huécar rivers, which give an incomparable natural framework to an urbanism anchored in time.
- Museum of Abstract Art: The city opens to the visitor as a perfect fusion between modern art and tradition. It is essential for the traveler to travel through its old town, losing itself in the network of charming alleys that house, from important samples of religious heritage such as churches, convents, seminars in which this deep-rooted tradition of worship of this city is breathed, even important museums such as the Museum of Abstract Art, that of the Antonio Pérez Foundation or the Secret Museum of the Chair.
- Triforium of the Cathedral of Cuenca: The visit to the Cathedral is complemented by the impressive height view from the Triforium of the Cathedral of Cuenca. A small spiral staircase leads the visitor to the cathedral sky. From there we receive the impressive views of the Cathedral, a unique show that allows us to appreciate every detail, every corner.
- The Treasure Museum Cathedral of Cuenca: Designed by the artist Gustavo Torner, it exhibits more than 200 pieces of great value and uniqueness, spatially those referred to the 16th century. Rooms dedicated to medieval art, the renaissance and the treasure of the vault, where in addition to goldsmithing we find two wonderful works of El Greco, as well as the Byzantine Diptych Icon Reliquary of the Epirus Despots, and a large collection of tapestries and carpets.
- The Hanging Houses: They are the best example of popular Cuenca architecture, where their balconies invite you to simply observe the emptiness, becoming a saint and a sign of the city. As from its Skyscrapers in San Martín, the first buildings with more than ten floors in the world. Within the emblematic Hanging Houses we find one of the most significant artistic exhibitions of art in Spain in the mid-twentieth century: The Museum of Abstract Art.
- The St Paul's Bridge: Designed by the Eiffel school, it becomes a walk for the daring and an adventure for the dizzying, but it leaves everyone with the same feeling of being in one of the best places in the city.
