Program:
We will travel for a day the most beautiful spots of the Costa da Morte, one of the wildest areas of Galicia. Surprising places, good gastronomy and visits to see the authentic fishing villages.
The tour starts with a stop in Pontemaceira, famous for its medieval bridge of the 14th century. Next stop at Paxareiras, a privileged viewpoint that allows you to contemplate magnificent views of the entire coast.
The next stop is Muros , which has the privilege of having an authentic seaside neighborhood. It still retains its old part well restored and maintains its original image being a sign of identity throughout the region.
The next stop on the way is Ézaro, at the southern end of the Costa da Morte. We visited the Ézaro waterfall , which is the only one in Europe that flows into the sea, which makes it an unusual and worth visiting place.
The next stop on the way arrives in Fisterra, at the end of the world for the Romans, here we visit the lighthouse to explain some adventures and dangers that passed and pass the ships that cross the dangerous bottoms of the coast. And a brief time to enjoy the wonderful views of the cliffs and the wild waters of the Atlantic.
Lunch in Finisterre, where there is a wide variety of catering services to choose from.
After eating, the crossing reaches its last stop: Muxia. This village, known as the zero zone of the Prestige catastrophe, synthesizes and combines the natural elements that make up this area: stone and water. The granite is present, be it the rocks on which the venerated sanctuary of the Virxe da Barca is located, or the famous pedra de abalar or the pedra dos cadrís, remains of the ancient Galician litolátrico cult. Even in the imposing O Berro sculpture, the stone expresses what it felt like in that tragic November of 2002.
End of the tour and return to Santiago at 7:00 p.m.
(*) The order of the program can be altered according to the criteria of the guide.
