Itinerary

Start of the tour
- In the heart of the historic center of the "city of museums"; what Malaga has become, is the famous Carmen Thyssen Museum. Without a doubt, one of the essential places in the city.
- For our one-hour visit, approximately, we will take as a meeting point directly the old Villalón Palace, current headquarters of the Thyssen Museum in Malaga, in order to make the most of the time of our tour. We will start with the relevant presentations to familiarize ourselves with the guide and after that, we will access its interior.
- We will take a tour of the impressive private art gallery of Baroness Thyssen, where thanks to its permanent collection we will know works of the great masters of Spanish painting of the 19th and early 20th centuries, paying special attention to Andalusian painting of the time. .
- In our itinerary we will visit the different plants in which the entity is divided:
- Romantic landscape and manners , where we will discover the suggestive and exotic vision that authors such as Domínguez Bécquer, Villaamil and Guillermo Gómez Gil had of our land.
- Preciousism and naturalistic painting , where we will witness how realism prevails in painting so that the works seem to come to life thanks to them. All this thanks to such famous artists as Carlos de Haes, Raimundo de Madrazo or the essential Fortuny.
- Ancient Masters , located on the same floor as the previous section and where we will remember personalities from the history of art of the Zurbarán level, where we can see their outstanding work Santa Marina
- End of the century, part of the entity in which we will see the innovations that took place in our painting at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, laying the foundations of modernity and avant-garde with such renowned geniuses as Sorolla, Zuloaga or Julio Romero of Torres.
- Once the guide is finished, the visitor will have free time to go to the rooms or spaces that they consider, such as the cafeteria or souvenir shop.
- The tour ends around 7:30 p.m. (approximately) at the same place where we started, the museum itself.
