Visit Granada: Center, Cathedral, Chapel and Madrasa
Granada is a privileged city to explore on foot. In every corner, we can find traces of a splendid historical past, which the accompanying expert guide will show you.
We will start in Plaza Nueva, admiring one of the buildings that most changed the appearance of the city and being amazed by the Royal Chancery, the highest Court of Appeal for the Crown of Castile; admiring the new Plaza, the church of Santa Ana and the Pilar del Toro, each one forming part of one of the most important places in Granada today.
We will go down the channel of the Darro river, to look out on the old Al-Funduq (Corral del Carbón), one of the few Muslim buildings for commercial use that are still preserved and we will also visit the intricacies of its streets, visiting the old market of silk, where thousands of stalls intoxicate our senses with its colors and smells.
Then, we will visit the Madraza, founded by Yusuf I in 1349, the germ of the university that still has so much tradition even today in Granada. We will enter the Royal Chapel, where the Catholic Monarchs chose to be buried to leave a permanent memory of the hard work that It was hard for them to win this city and the pride that it meant for them.
We will also see the Cathedral, ordered to be built by Emperor Carlos V, showing them this unfinished gem that includes various styles, from Gothic to Baroque, through to the Renaissance, and which houses important pictorial and sculptural works inside.
At the end, we will finish the tour tasting one of the famous tapas that have made our city a gastronomic adventure in front of the cathedral.
