Our visit will begin with an explanation about the most important monument, the Alcazaba of Almería, where our guide will tell you the history and give an introduction about the city. Then we will walk through the streets of the historic center of the city to reach the Church of San Juan, the old Arab mosque.
After this tour we will make the first stop at a typical bar in the area where we will have a tapas and our guide will explain the culture and gastronomy to you throughout the tour.
Once we have filled our stomach a little, we will continue our journey to the Plaza de la Catedral where we can admire its beauty and learn about the history of the most important Cathedral in the city, as well as the Plaza de la Constitución where you will know one of the most emblematic places of the city, the town hall. In this area we will make the second stop at another typical bar where you can taste another tapas and gather strength to continue the visit.
We will pass through the Arab Cisterns and continue our journey to the nerve center of the city, Puerta Purchena, the area where the great Arab wall that surrounded the city of Al-Mariyat reached. and we will also pass through the Refuges of the Spanish Civil War. Nearby we will taste a well-known and acclaimed liquor by the people of Almería, the "American" at the "Amalia kiosk", the best known and most typical of Almería.
To end the route we will arrive at the central market, which belongs to the contemporary age and we will make the last stop at another bar to taste the latest tapas and stay with the best taste of the city that has been named Gastronomic Capital of Spain in the year 2019
