Itinerary
Día 1
Complete Monumental Tour
Start time: 10:00 am
- We will start the day in Calle Alcazabilla knowing the Phoenician origins of the city of Malaga until we enter fully into Roman times. We will have a privileged view sitting on the steps of the Roman Theater in Malaga , where we will learn about the shows, society and even reveal the elaboration of the famous Garum sauce.
- We will continue our tour visiting the Alcazaba of Malaga , less than a minute from the Roman enclave. We will know in depth the history and curiosities of this Muslim fortress built in the 11th century, a reflection of all the splendor of al-Andalus and which also played a fundamental role during the Granada War. If it is known as the little sister of the Alhambra, it is not by chance.
- After the first part of our journey, we will go to explore the historic center of Malaga . No visitor can miss the bustling Calle Granada. There we will visit the interior of the Church of Santiago , picturesque for its mixture of styles and famous for witnessing the baptism of Pablo Picasso. We will follow in the footsteps of the great painter to the Picasso Museum in Malaga .
- We will end this wonderful day inside the Cathedral of Malaga , popularly known as "La Manquita" . The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Incarnation is considered a jewel of the Andalusian Renaissance, and it also houses the impressive Choir performed by Pedro de Mena, a great master of the Spanish Baroque.
