The tour ends in Cambados with a visit to a winery and tasting of a DO Rias Baixas wine.
Departure from Santiago, in the direction of the province of Pontevedra, its historic center of medieval origin, noted for its good state of preservation.
The provincial museum, the church of A Peregrina (18th century), baroque and scallop shaped, the one of Santa María a Maior (16th century), the collection of A Leña square, the arcades of A Ferreira, or the street from San Telmo, are just some of the points of interest of this city.
The itinerary continues in Combarro typical picture of 'cruceiros' and hórreos immersed almost in the sea and has the denomination of historical-artistic set. We skirt the beaches of Sanxenxo, Portonovo and the huge A Lanzada beach until we reach the O Grove peninsula . On its southern flank, facing the sea and west, it has a beautiful Romanesque hermitage (13th century) accompanied by the remains of a medieval tower (10th century).
The peninsula of O Grove is known mainly for the quality of its seafood, which makes it the capital of seafood cuisine.
From the port of O Grove comes the catamaran that runs through the Arousa estuary and takes us inland between the rafts where the famous Galician mussels are grown. Mussels and Albariño wine will be tasted for free.
The tour ends at the monumental Cambados that holds the title of 'Very Noble Villa'. This nobility can be seen in the centuries-old stones that make up the square of Fefiñáns (17th century), with its stately pazo and the Romanesque church of San Bieito (16th century) that flanks it.
Cambados is the undisputed capital of Albariño, which celebrates its festival on the first weekend of August.
